When Mercedes-Benz races, it seeks out competition in every possible series and race track possible. Which is why the Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Customer Racing teams closed out their season in the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. 

The three-hour GT World Challenge America finale served as an opening act for the highly anticipated Indianapolis 8 Hour presented by AWS. 

With the new Mercedes-AMG SL Roadster coming later this year, it was time to celebrate the iconic SL’s past. That celebration was done in grand style during the annual Monterey Car Week on the grounds of the Pebble Beach Golf Club. 

During a week where the greatest examples of the automobile graced the rocky shores of the Monterey Peninsula, a lineup of iconic and rare Mercedes-Benz SL roadsters were given center stage as a history lesson on one of our greatest cars we ever crafted. 

Mercedes-Benz made some timeless classics over its 125-year history. Some are more timeless than others. They are the ones that will catch our attention forevermore.

One such timeless Mercedes-Benz classic just won the Best In Show award at the 2021 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. It was a very rare 1938 540K Autobahn Kurier presented by The Keller Collection at The Pyramids. It caught the judges’ eye not only for its stunning beauty, but for the story behind this special 540K.
