When it comes to the future of the automobile, Mercedes-Benz is always at the forefront of more advanced technological features that allow customers to have access to more news, information, and games than ever before. Mercedes-Benz recently introduced the latest E-Class and its unique 3-screen setup.
The MBUX Superscreen has three unique displays: the driver instrument cluster, center-mounted infotainment display, and the front passenger display, an option for the new E-Class. When optioned, passengers can stream videos and games while the car is in motion. However, if the onboard cameras notice the driver’s eyes move too much toward the passenger screen, the vehicle will stop the playback. The EQE Sedan has a similar feature called Hyperscreen.

Users can scroll TikTok, play Angry Birds, use the Vivaldi web browser, and even get on Webex or Zoom calls when the vehicle is stationary. If the vehicle isn’t moving, an available selfie video camera can be used to attend the meeting. If the vehicle is in motion, individuals in the car can still participate in the Zoom and Webex meetings, although the camera cannot be used, rendering the call audio-only.
The new E-Class still features Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto® for those who prefer integrating their phones with the system. Dolby Atmos Digital Audio is also available, immersing occupants in anything they are listening to or watching.
It wasn’t that long ago that professionals had to be in the office or at home to get to all of their work and be efficient. Now, Mercedes-Benz has made it easier for everyone to get important work done anywhere, even while driving. It may be even more remarkable that the front passenger can pass the time on a road trip by scrolling the internet and playing games without having to resort to looking at their phone the whole time.
MBUX now uses more artificial intelligence to help determine what you would like to do or know while driving. You can use the voice assistant to request changes to what you’re listening to, and the car's temperature, but the 2024 E-Class features the voice assistant always on and listening, except for when there is more than one person in the vehicle. If it detects a single occupant, you can ask the assistant for the latest news, weather, or even see if anyone is at your home.
