The New Mercedes-Benz S-Class Goes on Tour Around the World
This year marks the 140th anniversary of automotive innovation. The first Benz and Daimler vehicles set a new course for personal mobility, establishing benchmarks across the industry. Mercedes-Benz continues to create innovations in safety, technology, and design.

Also, this year brings the arrival of a new S-Class sedan. As the ultimate expression of everything Mercedes-Benz has developed, designed, and engineered, our newest flagship sedan continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in today’s automobiles. It sounds like a cause for celebration.
Mercedes-Benz is embarking on a world tour called “140 Years 140 places.” This tour will run as a caravan, with the new S-Class visiting 140 locations around the world that symbolize the history, pioneering spirit, and global presence of Mercedes-Benz. Three of the new S-Class sedans will be a key part of this caravan, which will stretch over 31,000 miles to every corner of the globe.
The North American leg of the tour made stops in New York, Washington, D.C., Miami, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. Tuscaloosa is where Mercedes-Benz has its U.S.A. assembly facility, producing SUVs for the world.
One stop was made at the 2026 Masters golf tournament played at Augusta National Golf Club. Mercedes-Benz activated an exclusive space called Club 1886 as part of the tournament’s hospitality offerings. In Miami, it made a stop at the ModaMiami fashion expo, then went up to Sebring for the 12-hour IMSA race.

Another segment of this tour will take the three S-Class sedans along Route 66. This is one of those iconic stretches of road where Mercedes-Benz owners have taken their beloved rides to reach Los Angeles from Chicago through Amarillo and Oklahoma City.
At every stop, members of the Mercedes-Benz Community will not only see the new S-Class but also check out vintage cars from Mercedes-Benz, along with its current lineup and a glimpse of the future.
At every stop, Mercedes-Benz owners, customers, club members, and fans are treated to an immersive experience. That includes meet-and-greets, exclusive stories, presentations, and the chance to experience the journey alongside the caravan.
The tour began in Stuttgart after the unveiling of the S-Class in January. The tour will run until October and return to Stuttgart.

If you cannot make it to any of the stops along the “140 Years 140 Places” tour, you can celebrate by wearing a commemorative pair of shoes. In collaboration with Adidas, you can get a pair of their famous Samba shoes with a limited 140 Years Sneaker Edition later this year.
By crafting automobiles that epitomize the phrase “The Best or Nothing,” Mercedes-Benz has remained at the forefront of automotive innovation for 140 years. Mercedes-Benz of Plano is proud to offer a great lineup of automobiles for our customers across the Metroplex. Contact us to see where your own journey takes you next.
