It is called the “S-Class of SUVs” for a purpose. The Mercedes-Benz GLS delivers the kind of luxury expected in our flagship sedan while accommodating families comfortably across three rows of seats.

For 2027, the new GLS SUV will arrive with many updates and improvements to extend our commitment towards offering a family-friendly environment coupled with the exceptional luxury you expect in a flagship SUV.

That starts with a revised exterior design incorporating the latest elements seen on our latest models. The three-pointed star is now incorporated in everything from the grille design to the LED taillights. The grille design has changed to create a more visual presence up front, with contour lighting around it. The star logo on the grille is also illuminated to enhance the presence of the 2027 GLS.

Inside, you are treated to a new Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) Superscreen. This incorporates a passenger-side display. The seamless display runs across the dashboard, providing informative, interactive content. The Superscreen and other electronic and digital aspects of the 2027 GLS are backed by a new supercomputer with artificial intelligence, driven by the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS).

You can also opt for an Executive Rear Seat Package that coddles second-row passengers for the ultimate in luxury.

To create the flagship experience, Mercedes-Benz engineered the 2027 GLS with a serious reduction in noise, vibration, and harshness. It is rooted in a new engine lineup for the 2027 GLS. On the 2027 GLS 580 4MATIC®, the twin-turbocharged V8 engine features a flat crankshaft, boosting output to 530 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. The 2027 GLS 450 4MATIC® turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engine is now rated at 413 pound-feet of torque for improved load management. Both engines also incorporate an integrated starter generator (ISG 2.0).

Ride comfort is also enhanced by a cloud-based damper control system. This also incorporates the AIRMATIC® air suspension system for exceptional ride comfort.

To keep you, your occupants, and your 2027 GLS protected, the latest generation of MB.DRIVE incorporates an expanded feature list of driver assistance technologies. These are being driven by a set of ten cameras, up to five radar sensors, and 12 ultrasonic sensors, which feed data to these features, ensuring a smooth, safe drive.

With these enhancements, you can experience flagship luxury for your family at its finest in the 2027 GLS. Mercedes-Benz of Plano is expecting our first vehicles to arrive later this year or early 2027. It is worth waiting for. Contact us, and we can arrange for you to see one when they become available.
