Mercedes-Benz of Plano is pleased to announce that a plug-in hybrid version will be added to the brand’s best-selling GLC model lineup in the second half of 2024. The 2025 GLC 350e 4MATIC® Plug-in Hybrid will have all the standard and available features of the current GLC 300 4MATIC® plus a few standard features related to its electrification.
Why a Plug-In Hybrid?

The GLC 350e 4MATIC® enables you to use the right tool or powertrain for the job. With an impressive EV range of 81 miles, this plug-in hybrid (PHEV) will likely cover your daily driving needs without a single drop of gas. For longer journeys, it seamlessly transitions into an efficient hybrid model, eliminating the need to plan your trip around recharging. It's the perfect balance of sustainability and convenience.
The GLC 350e EV range of 81 miles is almost twice that of other PHEVs. The vehicle contains a large 24.8-kilowatt-hour battery, which supplies power to a permanently excited electric synchronous motor that provides 134 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. Combined with the 2.0-liter inline-4 engine, the system produces 313 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque.
A PHEV is best suited when you can charge at home, letting you start each day with the ability to drive up to 81 miles by the electric motor alone. If your daily routine falls within that distance, you could go weeks or even months without visiting a gas station. If you have the opportunity to charge away from home, the GLC 350e 4MATIC® differs from other PHEVs in that it can use a DC-direct fast charger. With a DC charging speed of 60 kW, the model will fully charge in about 30 minutes.
Even when the Hybrid drive program is selected, the vehicle will use electric drive mode when appropriate, such as the stop-and-go of city driving. On highway stretches, the model can use the electric motor alone for speeds up to 87 mph. In a completely different scenario, the model also has an Off-Road drive mode that enables the plug-in hybrid to drive electrically on off-road terrain.
