The Mercedes-Benz EQS is the most sophisticated sedan from a company with over a century of experience making the world’s most sophisticated sedans. Mercedes-Benz continues to upgrade this electrically driven model each year. Mercedes-Benz of Plano is pleased to inform you that the 2025 model has some significant enhancements.

New Grille Celebrates Tradition

At a glance, the most obvious difference is the revised front-end styling. The look brings a timeless elegance to the car’s front with a new grille featuring a chrome vertical center line and three horizontal slats flush against the deep black panel surface, echoing the brand’s traditional radiator grille. Perched above is the return of the upright three-pointed star hood ornament. Inside, the climate control vents are now adorned with chrome accents, and the rear-seat comfort pillows feature contrast stitching and Nappa leather piping.

Enhanced Rear Seat Comfort

The EQS Sedan, when equipped with the optional Pinnacle Trim and Executive Interior Package, offers unparalleled rear seat comfort. The front passenger seat can fold forward, providing additional space for second-row passengers. The backrest for the rear seat can be adjusted from 27 to 38 degrees at the touch of a button, ensuring the perfect seating position. The package also includes rapid heating rear seats, neck and shoulder heating for rear passengers, and pneumatic adjustment of the rear seat depth. An additional 0.2 inches of foam has been added to the rear seat backrest, further enhancing the comfort. An exclusive element is the illuminated trim accents integrated into the back of the front seats, adding a touch of sophistication to the interior.

Increased Range per Charge

Two significant enhancements to increase the EQS's operational range are not visually apparent. The first is a larger battery, growing from the current 108 kWh to 118 kWh. Official range figures have not yet been released, but calculations suggest the increased battery will increase range from 352 to about 380 miles. It may be an even more significant portion if city driving is involved, as the 2025 model’s regenerative braking system features new software for increased energy recovery.

Because the regenerative braking system uses the brake discs and pads much less than in a conventional gas-powered vehicle, a special function has been added to the brake system that automatically applies the pads to the discs from time to time, even when not needed, to ensure the two components remain perfectly aligned for when they do need to be applied.

Of course, implicit in the EQS model’s EV drivetrain is its smooth and silent running for a luxurious experience that even the iconic S-Class sedan cannot match. The 2025 EQS is expected to arrive later in the 2024 calendar year. We encourage you to request one of our Mercedes-Benz of Plano sales professionals to inform you when the 2025 models arrive.
