The 2024 Mercedes-AMG® GLC Coupe comes in two powerful models with an AMG®-exclusive AMG® E Performance hybrid technology. There truly is no other SUV like it on the market. Whether you want high-performance or ultra-high performance, the AMG® GLC has you covered.
GLC 43 Coupe
The new GLC 43 Coupe has a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with an electric exhaust gas turbocharger that puts out 416 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque mated to the AMG® Speedshift 9-speed multi-clutch automatic transmission, with a short burst of 13 horsepower from a belt-driven starter generator at low speeds. Standard features include rear-axle steering, all-wheel drive, and AMG® Ride Control suspension with adaptive dampers. Mercedes-Benz says the GLC 43 will do 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds and top out at an electronically limited 155 mph.
GLC 63 S E Performance
Stepping up to the GLC 63 S E Performance Coupe gives you 671 horsepower and 752 lb-ft of torque from the same 2.0-liter engine in the GLC 43. However, a permanently excited synchronous electric motor is attached to the engine in this case. Without the battery motor, the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder produces 469 horsepower and 402 lb-ft of torque. Mercedes-Benz says this is good for a 0-60 time of 3.4 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 171 mph.
"With the new Mercedes-AMG® GLC Coupe, we are addressing customers who are looking for a sporty lifestyle and dynamic design coupled with impressive performance. The diverse and high-quality technical components guarantee the highest level of driving dynamics and pleasure. With the top model GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupe, we now also offer our innovative hybrid drive in this segment, which guarantees an extensive range of driving experience,” said Michael Schiebe, CEO Mercedes-AMG® GmbH and head of business units Mercedes-Benz G-Class & Mercedes-Maybach.
Formula 1 Tech In Your Street AMG®
With hybrid tech similar to that of their Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 cars, Mercedes-AMG® has used their racing knowledge and expertise to bring reliable electric horsepower and torque to the GLC Coupe. Thanks to a 6.1 kWh high-performance battery pack that the GLC 63 has, there is a constant 107 horsepower and 201 horsepower peak output for 10 seconds. This system can be charged up via any public or personal charging station.
GLC 63 S E models have available AMG® Active Ride Control that actively reduces body roll and adds stability when cornering.
Active Rear Steering
Active rear-axle steering is standard on both GLC Coupe models and works with up to 2.5 degrees of steering angle. At speeds below 62 mph, the system turns the rear wheels in the opposite direction of the front wheels to make the car feel shorter and more agile. Above 62 mph, the rear wheels turn with the front wheels at a maximum of .7 degrees.
