2022 Mercedes-AMG SL Shows Its Interior

Every Mercedes-Benz SL harkens back to the original. With every generation of the SL comes progress that still honors its past.

We are given a glimpse at what the interior of the next Mercedes-AMG SL will look like. There is no mistaking that it will do justice to its past, while exhibiting progress for years to come.

It all begins with returning to the SL’s 2+2 seating arrangement for the first time since 1989. This forms a theme for this new cabin, called “hyperanalog,” an intersection where designed created a mix of analog geometry and a digital world. As a result, the AMG SL will appeal to a sporty target group while providing maximum comfort and the latest brand technology.

On the comfort side, an AMG SL owner should expect the extensive use of fine materials, meticulous workmanship and attention to detail to further underscore the high luxury standards in the interior. The cockpit design focuses on the driver and impresses with a harmonious overall impression, right down to the adjustable central display in the center console.

Technology-wise, the Mercedes-Benz User Experience infotainment system also offers a choice of several unique display styles and modes. The MBUX system is accessed from an 11.9-inch touchscreen that integrates with the center stack that can be adjustable from its portrait position to a vertical one if needed. You will also find a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, which is integrated into a three-dimensional visor.

The return to a 2+2 seating configuration enables the AMG SL to be more versatile. The rear seats are usable for passengers, as well as extra storage space. Think of an extra space for your bag as you play a quick game of golf on one of the Metroplex’s great courses. If you do not need the rear seat space, you can install the wind deflector to protect the front seat occupants.

Two types of seats will be available for the AMG SL – a sport or AMG Performance Seats. Customers can choose from single or two-tone Nappa Leather, elegant Nappa STYLE Leather with diamond stitching, or the sporty combination of Nappa Leather with DINAMICA RACE microfiber and contrasting topstitching in yellow or red.
