The new 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is now the Motor Trend Car of The Year!
The recently updated E-Class was among a field of strong contenders for one of the most prestigious vehicle awards in this country. It won on some very high merits and praise.
Jonny Lieberman, senior features editor at Motor Trend, cites the 2021 E-Class’ win as he wrote: "…it says something about a company that a midcycle refresh of a sedan could take an already good car and move it to greatness."
Lieberman added: "…the engineers [at Mercedes-Benz] went the extra mile. They pulled the all-nighter. Put in the hard work. The result? Car of the Year."
The results show that the 2021 E-Class was taken to the next level with more than just a facelift. There is a new interior showcasing the latest Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) with a full double screen format incorporating the instrument binnacle with the infotainment screen.
The new 2021 E-Class also showcases the return of the in-line six-cylinder engine to this model. It is more than just a six-cylinder engine, but one with turbocharging and the 48-volt EQBoost electrification system.
