Performance

The AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe comes in four performance-oriented flavors, all utilizing a nine-speed shiftable automatic transmission and 4MATIC® all-wheel drive. The GT 43 and GT 53 are both powered by a 3.0-liter, turbocharged inline-six. The GT 43 produces a healthy 362 horsepower and 396 pound-feet of torque, which will knock off the run to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds. Bumping up to the GT 53 gets you 429 horses and 384 lb-ft, dropping that 0-60 time to just 4.4 seconds.

The GT 63 and GT 63 S E-Performance are both based on Mercedes’s twin-turbocharged V8. The GT 63 makes 577 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, which knocks out the 60 mph run in just 3.3 seconds. The GT 63 S E-Performance gets help from an onboard plug-in hybrid system. The electric motor delivers an astonishing 831 hp and 1,032 lb-ft of torque, and hits 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds.

In a GT, straight-line speed is just part of the equation. Customers also expect sharp handling and a comfortable ride for long-distance cruising. Mercedes strikes this balance by making AMG® Ride Control standard equipment on all GT Coupe 4-Door models. AMG® Ride Control+, standard on GT 63 models, adds the flexibility of air springs to the dynamic competence of adaptive dampers, allowing for almost limitless customization of ride and handling. AMG® Dynamic Select offers Comfort and Sport settings along with individualized settings for the engine, suspension, and transmission.

If that’s not enough, the AMG® Dynamic Plus package adds more track-attack gadgets, including Race and Drift modes for the Dynamic Select system, active engine and transmission mounts, the RACESTART® function, and yellow brake calipers. Extreme performance tires are also available as a stand-alone option.

Exterior

The sleek 4-Door Coupe profile invites customers to finish the AMG® GT in one of more than a dozen paint finishes, each paired with nearly as many wheel options, ranging from standard 19-inch multispokes to 21-inch forged AMG® 5-spokes, with several finish options between them.

The AMG® GT 4-Door can be further customized with several exterior packages that offer cosmetic alternatives, performance upgrades, or both. The Night Package adds gloss black exterior trim elements, while the AMG® Aerodynamics Package adds downforce that can be felt at the racetrack. Two Exterior Carbon Fiber packages are available, along with a Silver Chrome package for those who prefer more traditional brightwork.

Interior

The interior can be decked out in MB-Tex with microfiber, leather, or Nappa leather, depending on which route you choose. This will also determine which trim materials you can choose, with wood, aluminum, and carbon fiber all featured.

Comfort features abound even in the GT 43, including dual-zone climate control, heated front seats with power adjustment, and 64-color ambient LED interior lighting, all standard. The nearly endless list of optional upgrades includes ventilated and massaging front seats, a 3D Burmester® sound system**, a cabin air fragrance system, and the Executive Rear Seat Package. The latter includes three-zone climate control, 40/40-split twin rear seats, heated and cooled rear cupholders, and rear-cabin 115V and USB-C ports. A three-passenger rear seat is also available.

Those who opt for the AMG® Performance front seats can also unlock greater adjustability of the side bolsters for a more accurate fit, on- and off-track. An available MANUFAKTUR® interior package on GT 63 models includes Signature Exclusive Nappa leather upholstery, a black microfiber headliner, a Nappa leather steering wheel, and high-pile floor mats.

Technology

While the AMG® GT Coupe may be more focused on the driving experience than comfort, each one comes with robust tech. No matter which model you choose, you get a standard 12.3-inch MBUX infotainment system with wireless Android Auto® and Apple Carplay® integration. This system can be controlled by touch, wheel controls, or voice commands, along with the GT Coupe’s touchpad controller. The standard navigation system and HUD both offer augmented reality upgrades that overlay turn information and other trip data in real time.

The standard 14-speaker Burmester® audio system** can be updated to a 1,450-watt, 24-speaker setup, and upgraded acoustic glass is available as a stand-alone option. Other passenger niceties, such as soft-close doors and a rear-window sunshade, are also available.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Standard safety tech in the Mercedes-AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe includes Active Brake Assist, a surround-view system, Active Blind Spot Assist, and Adaptive High Beam Assist, among the many other items featured below.
